INTRODUCTION
Drawing is the basic quality of a good artist, and as a matter of fact everybody should know how to use drawing to explain things, because it is a universual language.
DEFINITION OF DRAWING:
Drawing is the use of lines to define the shapes and forms of objects or images including man, plants and animals and other natural things. Drawing is the mother of arts. One good thing about drawing is that, it helps an individual to develop the power of observation. A person who draws is called a drawer, while a person who creates arts and is skilled at some activities is known as an artist.
TYPES OF DRAWING
The different types of drawing are: Nature drawing, still life drawing, observation drawing. imaginative drawing, figure drawing, pin – figure drawing, landscape drawing,, seascape drawing, skyscape drawing, silhouette drawing, abstract drawing and general drawing.
1. Nature Drawing: Is the drawing of plants and animals including man and other natural forms or things created by God.
2. Stil Life Drawing: Is the drawing of inanimate or man- made objects in a given .
3.Observational Drawing: This is the type of drawing made from real objects, be it a person, animal or a thing, rather than from a picture or a mental image.
4. imaginative Drawing: This is the drawing of a particular scene or event from memory.
5. Figure Drawing or Life Drawing: This is the type of drawing that expresses forms of human beings in a given composition.
6. Pin – Figure Drawing: Is the drawing of the different parts of the human body.
7. Landscape Drawing: Is the drawing of both natural and man-made objects on the environment or expanse of land.
8. Seascape Drawing: Is the drawing of both natural and man-made objects within or around the sea or water body with ocean going vessels like ship, yatch and boats.
9. Skyscape Drawing: Is the drawing of the sky or cloud showing both natural and man-made objects such as birds, sun, moon, rocket or aircraft.
10. Silhouette Drawing: Is the drawing of both natural and man-made objects in one Colour all through. It can also be called shadow drawing when done in black colour.
11. Abstract Drawing: This is the drawing of objects in an abnormal or distorted forms that are non – representational or non-figurative.
12. General Drawing: This is the drawing of diverse forms of natural and man-made objects in a given composition.
